Safe, expert-led surgical births when needed most.

Caesarean Sections – Safe, Skilled Surgical Births When You Need It Most

Whether planned or unplanned, a Caesarean Section (C-section) can be a life-saving and empowering way to welcome your baby into the world. At Dr. Tembisa Tini’s practice, we offer safe, expert-led Caesarean deliveries, focused on your comfort, health, and peace of mind.

What Is a Caesarean Section?

A Caesarean Section is a surgical procedure in which a baby is delivered through an incision made in the abdomen and uterus. It may be recommended in advance for medical reasons or performed during labor if complications arise.

While it’s different from a vaginal birth, a C-section is a common, controlled procedure with a strong safety record—especially when performed by an experienced obstetrician like Dr. Tembisa Tini.

When Is a Caesarean Section Recommended?

A C-section may be planned or advised during labor depending on your baby’s positioning, your health, or other factors.

Previous C-Section

To prevent complications from uterine rupture in certain cases.

Breech or Transverse Position

Baby is not in a head-down position for safe vaginal delivery.

Placenta Previa

Placenta is covering the cervix, preventing safe vaginal delivery.

Multiple Births

Twins or triplets may require a surgical approach.

Labor Complications

If labor is not progressing or fetal distress occurs.

Maternal Health Conditions

Conditions like high blood pressure or infections may make C-section safer.
Step-by-Step Support for a Calm and Confident Birth.

What to Expect During a Natural Vaginal Birth

Every birth experience is unique, but here’s what typically happens:

Early Labor

  • Contractions begin and gradually become stronger and more regular.

  • You may remain at home during this phase if medically advised.

  • Once active labor starts, you’ll be admitted to the hospital for close monitoring.

Active Labor & Delivery

  • Our team supports you with breathing techniques, movement, and comfort strategies.

  • Vaginal exams track cervical dilation and baby’s position.

  • You’ll push during the final stage, and your baby is born through the birth canal.

After Delivery

  • Immediate skin-to-skin bonding with your baby

  • Ongoing monitoring to ensure a healthy recovery

  • Guidance with breastfeeding and postpartum care

Supportive, Expert-Led Monitoring

  • Continuous fetal heart rate and contraction monitoring for your baby’s safety.

  • Blood pressure and vital signs are checked regularly.

  • Our team remains close by to offer reassurance, medical support, and guidance throughout labor.
